Just ask

Talk to Fundz

Say or type what you want, like “Series A fintech companies in Texas that are hiring”, and Fundz builds the list, opens the right page, sets up the alert or drafts the email while it answers you.

What it does

Talk to Fundz is an assistant wired into the live app. Ask a question and it does two things at once: it answers from your real Fundz data (your leads, your brief, your targets, the companies on screen) and it moves the screen to show you what it means, opening pages, applying filters and pulling up records.

You can speak to it like a colleague sitting next to you: “open the third one”, “now just the ones in New York”, “add that company to my targets”. Typing works the same way. When you type into the Ask Fundz bar you get the same assistant, in a window titled Ask Fundz.

How to start

  1. 1
On your dashboard, click the mic in the Ask Fundz bar. On other app pages (Companies, Fundings, Investors, Trends, My targets and more) use the round mic button in the bottom-right corner.
  2. 2
Allow microphone access the first time your browser asks. A small panel opens with a live transcript.
  3. 3
Just talk. No wake word, no special phrasing. Watch the screen move as it answers.
  4. 4
Prefer to type? Use the box at the bottom of the panel, or type in the Ask Fundz bar instead. Typing does not use voice minutes.
  5. 5
Click the mic button again to end the session.
Plans
The full assistant, by voice or typing, is included on paid plans. Voice time is metered; typing is not. See Plans & Pricing.

It answers, and it acts

Builds lists

“Find companies hiring engineers in robotics.” It opens the right feed and applies the filters you described.

Walks you through your day

“Brief me.” It reads your Daily Briefing and highlights each item on screen. “Show me my best leads” opens your Daily Leads.

Explains why

“Why is this a good lead?” It explains what happened at the company and who to contact.

Works your pipeline

“Add Acme to my targets.” “Acme replied, meeting Friday.” “What's on my list today?” It updates My targets for you. More examples

Starts outreach

It can open SmartSend for the contact you mean and send it once you have approved the draft.

Places calls

With a revealed mobile on screen, say “call her mobile” and it dials through Click-to-Call, then gets out of the way.

Changes your setup

“Add healthcare to my targeting.” “Set up funding alerts for my targets.” It changes the setting and tells you what it did.

Exports and syncs

“Export this list” or “push this company to HubSpot.” It works from what is on your screen.

Not sure where to begin?

Say so. Tell it “I don't know where to start” or describe your job (“I recruit engineers”, “I'm a benefits broker”, “we're a marketing agency”) and it suggests the lists that fit your role and offers to set up the daily alert. A few people ask:

Sales

“Who in my ICP just raised money?”

Recruiting

“Who's hiring like crazy right after raising money?”

Advisors

“Which companies just lost their CFO?”

Investors

“What's new across my watchlist this week?”

Founders

“Which of my competitors raised this month?”

Agencies

“Who just hired a new CMO?”

It sees what you see

When it navigates or filters, it waits for the page to finish loading, then describes what is actually on your screen. That is why “open the third one” works, and why follow-ups like “now filter that to enterprise” pick up right where the last request left off. The session also stays open as you move between app pages.
