My targets
My targets is a simple pipeline for the companies you're working: where each one stands, who you're talking to, what you promised to do next, and everything that has happened so far. Fundz keeps it current from your outreach and from the news, so you spend less time updating it.
Who it's for
If business development is one of your jobs, not a department, you probably don't need a full CRM. You need to know who to call today and what you said last time. My targets does that, next to the signals that tell you when to reach out. If you already use HubSpot or Salesforce, you can keep using them; see Import and export.
The six stages
- 1To contact. You've picked the company but haven't reached out.
- 2Contacted. You've sent the first message.
- 3Replied. They wrote back. These show first on your Today panel.
- 4Meeting. A call or meeting is booked.
- 5Won. They became a client.
- 6Lost. Not now. You can move it back any time.
The first four are your open pipeline. The number and total deal value at the top of the page count only those.
Board and list
Open My targets from the left menu. The board shows a column per stage: drag a company to another column to change its stage. Switch to the list view for a compact table, which is easier on a phone. The This week strip counts what you got done in the last seven days: messages sent, replies, meetings, wins and companies added.
Working one company
Click any company to open its panel. Everything saves as you type.
- 1Stage. Pick one, or drag on the board.
- 2Deal value. What the work is worth to you, in dollars. It adds up at the top of the page.
- 3Expected to close. When you expect a decision. Open deals closing this month add up at the top of the page.
- 4Why it was lost. When you mark a company Lost, pick the reason (no budget, went with someone else, bad timing...). Over time it shows you where deals slip.
- 5Next step. Write what you'll do and pick a date, or tap Tomorrow, In 3 days or Next week. On that date it shows on your Today panel as a follow-up.
- 6Contact. Name, title, email and LinkedIn. Not sure who? Pick from the people Fundz suggests for that company. This is your main contact: SmartSend, Today and your morning email use this person.
- 7Other people. Everyone else involved in the decision. Add them by hand or from the suggestions, and click Make primary to switch who you're working with.
- 8Notes. Call recaps, what they said, anything you want to remember. Notes sit in a timeline with every stage change, message sent and piece of news.
- 9Log a call or meeting. Under Timeline, tap Called, Left voicemail, Emailed, LinkedIn or Met. Type a recap first and it is saved with the entry. Reaching out moves the company to Contacted, a meeting moves it to Meeting, and either one resets the Gone quiet reminder.
From the same panel you can start a SmartSend, open the contact's LinkedIn, or open the company's full Fundz profile.
Adding companies
- 1Type a name into Add a company by name at the top of My targets.
- 2Click Add to targets on any company page, signal page or list row. See Add to targets.
- 3Click Add to targets on one of the companies Fundz scored for you on your dashboard, or on a Worth a look row in Today.
- 4Import a spreadsheet. See Import and export.
- 5Tell Ask Fundz: "add Acme to my targets".
When you add a company Fundz knows without naming a person, Fundz fills in the best-fit contact it can find, so SmartSend is ready straight away. You can change it at any time.
What updates on its own
Sending a SmartSend moves the company to Contacted. If you send from Outlook, a reply moves it to Replied by itself; on Gmail, Fundz can't see replies, so click They replied in Today. A booked meeting moves it to Meeting. Automatic updates only ever move a company forward, and never out of Won or Lost. Signals at your open targets show on your Today panel, and can also come by email; see News at your targets by email.
Removing a company
Click Archive in the company's panel. It leaves your board, and you'll see an Undo for a few seconds in case you didn't mean it.
Your targets, notes and deal values are visible only to you. They never appear to other Fundz users.
