Hiring Intel

Every job a company posts is a budget decision someone already made. Hiring Intel reads the open roles at companies across the market and shows you which ones are growing, building a new team, or stuck with a role they can't fill.

What it shows you

Fundz reads company job boards every day, including the careers pages companies run on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable and Recruitee, and turns the postings into plain signals. One posting means little. A pattern tells you what the company is about to spend on.

Hiring surge

A burst of new roles in a short time. The company is growing, and it needs help to grow.

Team build-out

Several new roles in one department. A function is being built or rebuilt, and the leader running it is choosing tools, vendors and partners.

Senior role posted

A leadership opening. Whoever fills it will bring a mandate, a budget and a team to hire.

Vacancy aging

A role that has stayed open longer than normal. The company hasn't solved it on its own.

You'll also see signals for a recent leadership change, remote roles and the technology a company is hiring for.

Who it helps

Recruiters

A senior role that has been open for months is a company ready to hear from a recruiter. A wave of roles under a new leader is a whole team about to be hired.

Sales, consultants and advisors

A team that is staffing up is also buying. Reach out about the specific build, a new sales team or a new engineering group, instead of sending a generic pitch.

Investors

Hiring shows whether a company is doing what it said it would do with the money it raised.

How to use it

  1. 1
In the left menu, open Events and click Hiring Intel, or go to Hiring Intel. If you don't see it, click All tools at the bottom of the menu.
  2. 2
Click Add/Edit filters and narrow the list. Useful filters: Hiring Signals (the signals above), Min Days Open (for example 90+ days, for roles that are stuck), Funded Within (companies that also raised money recently), Hiring Intent (including 1st-degree connection only, for companies where you know someone), Tech Keyword, Industry, Location and Company size.
  3. 3
Click Apply, then choose Save + Email Daily to get new matches by email, or Save Only.
  4. 4
Scan the list. Each row shows the latest signal, how many roles are open, how long the oldest one has been open, recent funding and company size.
  5. 5
Click a company to see why it is on the list: its active signals, every open role, suggested contacts, recent funding and recent leadership changes. From there, open the full company profile.
  6. 6
Click Track on a company to get email and Slack alerts when its roles pass 45, 60, 90 or 120 days open, or when a new hiring signal fires.

Raised money and hiring now

The best recruiting and sales leads often have both: new money and open roles. Click Raised & Hiring under Events in the left menu to open Funded & Hiring Now: companies that raised in the last 12 months and are hiring right now, re-scored every day, with new entries marked. Use In your territory to see only the companies that match your targeting.

Acting on a hiring signal

Add a company to My targets from its company profile, find the hiring manager or leader, and write to them with SmartSend, which mentions what the company is hiring for. Hiring also feeds the momentum score on each company page and your Daily Leads, so a company that raised money and started hiring rises to the top without you searching for it.
