Engage

The warmest lead is someone who already knows you. Every morning Engage checks your own LinkedIn connections against what just happened at their companies and hands you a ready-to-send comment and message for the ones worth reaching today.

What Engage does

Engage works your warm network. Overnight it matches the people in your own LinkedIn connections against live Fundz events (their company raised money, hired a new leader, was part of an acquisition, won a contract or launched a product) and picks the ones who fit who you sell to. For each one it drafts a comment and a direct message in your own voice, tied to the real event.

It is deliberately a short list, not a firehose: every card is someone you actually know with a timely reason to talk. To reach people you do not know yet, use SmartSend.

What is on each card

Someone you already know

A first-degree connection from your own LinkedIn network: an old colleague, a classmate, a past customer.

Why today

The event that makes them worth a message now, such as a raise, a new leader or an acquisition at their company.

A comment and a DM, in your voice

Drafted from sample messages you provide, so it reads like you wrote it. Review, tweak and send from your own LinkedIn. No HeyReach needed.

Short on purpose

Enough to work every morning, few enough that every one is worth the touch. The daily number depends on your plan.

Delivered every morning

Engage delivers your cards around 7 AM Eastern. They land on the Engage dashboard and, if you connect one, in your Slack channel. Without Slack, a morning email brings them to you instead.

Slack is optional

Skip Slack and nothing is lost: your cards show up by email and on the Engage dashboard.

Your accounts come first

In the Intelligence Feed on the Engage dashboard, activity at companies in My Accounts is listed first and marked In My Accounts. Your Engage target companies are part of My Accounts too. If a target name matches more than one company, pick the right one at the bottom of My Accounts and Engage follows that company from then on.

The connections you upload to Engage also power Who you know there across Fundz.

Set up Engage in a few minutes

  1. 1
Open Engage in the left menu (under Tools), or press Set up Engage under the Ask Fundz bar on your dashboard.
  2. 2
Describe your ICP. A sentence or two on who you sell to and what they care about. This is how Engage decides which connections match.
  3. 3
Paste 3 to 5 sample DMs. Real messages you sent that got replies. Engage learns your voice from them.
  4. 4
Add your LinkedIn connections. Upload your Connections.csv. This is the engine: without it Engage has no network to watch.
  5. 5
Connect Slack (optional). Pick a public channel for your cards, or skip it.
Getting your connections file

In LinkedIn go to Settings & Privacy, Data Privacy, Get a copy of your data and request the larger data archive. LinkedIn emails you a Zip, usually within a day or two; inside is Connections.csv. Drop that file into Engage.

Upload a fresh export any time to keep your network current.

For Slack, pick a public channel, not a DM

Choose a public channel such as #engage-leads that the Fundz bot can post to. Cards cannot be delivered to a direct message. See the Slack guide.

Grounded, and always from your seat

Every card is tied to a real event and a real connection of yours. Engage never invents numbers or a relationship you do not have. Nothing sends from a shared Fundz account: every comment and message goes out from your own LinkedIn.

On Pro and Strategic

Engage is included on the Pro and Strategic plans. See Plans & Pricing.
