Today: your next moves
Today is the part of your dashboard that answers one question: what do I need to do next? It lists your own work in the order to handle it: follow-ups waiting for your OK, replies, follow-ups you promised, companies that have gone quiet, and news at companies you're working. Every row has one obvious next step you can take right there.
Where to find it
Open your dashboard. At the top are your daily briefing and the companies Fundz scored for you today (the panel's name depends on your role, for example Your Daily Companies or Employers to reach today). Today sits right under them. The open targets link in its corner opens My targets, where your whole pipeline lives.
The kinds of row, in order
Each row says what happened, who to talk to, and what to do next.
- 1Needs your OK (Gmail only). A SmartSend follow-up is ready. Gmail doesn't let Fundz see your replies, so on Gmail no follow-up goes out until you say so. Click See the email to read it, then Send it, They replied (stops the follow-ups and moves the company to Replied), or Don't send. After you press Send it, the row shows Follow-up approved, with They replied, stop and Undo in case you change your mind. Your morning email lists these too. On Outlook, replies are detected and follow-ups stop by themselves.
- 2Reply waiting. Someone answered your outreach. If Fundz detected the reply (Outlook), click Open their reply. If you marked it yourself, the row says Marked replied. When you've set up a call, click Meeting booked. Once you've answered, click Handled to clear it from Today (it stays in Replied on My targets), or Mark lost.
- 3Follow-up due. A next step you set on a target is due. Reach out with SmartSend, push it back with Snooze 3 days, or click Done.
- 4Gone quiet. You reached out, your SmartSend follow-ups have finished, and there's been no reply or next step. Try a new angle with SmartSend, click They replied if they answered somewhere Fundz can't see, Follow up in 3 days, or Mark lost. Only outreach from the last 30 days, up to three at a time, largest deals first.
- 5New at your target. Something happened at a company you're working: new funding, a new leader, a contract, a product launch or an acquisition. That's a natural reason to get in touch. Click the headline to read it, or Seen to clear it.
When there's nothing waiting
If Today is empty, you're clear. Start with today's scored companies just above it: SmartSend someone, or click Add to targets on a company you'll work. From then on its replies, follow-ups and news show up here.
If no companies matched your targeting today, Today shows Worth a look rows instead: companies from your market, each with the reason it stands out. Click Add to targets to start working one, or Not today to hide it. To get scored companies every morning, set or widen your targeting.
The person on each row
Each row names the contact you're working with at that company. Click the LinkedIn icon to open their profile. If a target has nobody named yet, click Suggest a person to contact. Fundz shows the three best people at that company. Click one to save them as your contact, and SmartSend is ready to use.
Reaching out from Today
SmartSend on any row opens a draft written from that company's news and the person's role. It sends from your own inbox, and you can edit every word before it goes. After you send, the company is added to My targets (if it wasn't there already) and marked Contacted. On Outlook, a reply moves it to Replied and brings it to the top of Today by itself. On Gmail, click They replied when they answer. See SmartSend and your targets.
Today and My targets come with every Fundz account. SmartSend and contact emails are included on Pro and Strategic. See Plans & Pricing.
